Lady Gaga is on the September cover of Vogue. While the styling of this cover is pretty much what I would expect for Gaga (the platinum afro, the gown with a highly exaggerated shape,) I really wasn’t expecting a full body shot. The silhouette is especially striking thanks to the dramatic Marc Jacobs dress. I think this cover is appropriately different from the average Vogue cover for a special anniversary (and September) issue — but I like that it’s still easily recognizable as Vogue and fits Gaga.
This is Lady Gaga’s second time on the cover of Vogue. Last year, she covered the March Power issue (which infamously included a profile of Asma al-Assad.) For me, this cover is a vast improvement as I hated the cotton candy Louise Brooks wig on the last issue.
