As anticipation for Lena Dunham’s HBO series reaches a fever pitch, I decided to wade through the plethora of articles, Q&As and reviews that are already out (serious question: who is the show’s publicist because s/he deserves a raise) and do a little round-up of my favorites:
Obviously I enjoyed Emily Nussbaum’s in-depth cover story for New York magazine the most.
But a close second was Gothamist’s excellent interview with Lena.
Collider has a great Q&A with Lena and exec producer Judd Apatow.
The Hollywood Reporter ran a good short piece on the show as well as a rave review.
The Awl did a Q&A with Lena while The Wall Street Journal spoke with Jemima Kirke and The Cut did a Q&A with the show’s costume designer Jenn Rogien.
And lastly, an old profile of Dunham in the New Yorker written by Rebecca Mead is worth a read, especially as it covers Lena’s first few days on the set of her then untitled HBO project.
